Fetch Dog Walking & Training Limited offers dog walking services in a select number of villages around Norwich, including Horsford, Horsham St Faiths, Newton St Faiths, Hellesdon, Old Catton, Aylsham, and Taverham, among others. This focused approach allows us to maintain a high standard of service and punctuality for our dog walking clients.
For dog training, we extend our services across the entire county of Norfolk. We recognise that effective training may require a familiar environment, so our trainers travel to clients’ homes, providing tailored support in a setting that is comfortable for both the dog and the owner, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the training.
At Fetch, we cater to the varied needs of our canine clients by offering both one-to-one walks and group walks. One-to-one walks provide personalised attention, ideal for dogs that may not be comfortable in a group setting or those that require specific training focus during their walks. This service ensures that the dog benefits from the walker’s undivided attention.
Group walks are designed to foster social skills and provide enjoyable group interactions in a controlled environment. These sessions not only promote physical activity but also encourage healthy social behaviour as dogs interact under the watchful eye of our skilled professionals. We carefully match dogs in these groups to ensure compatibility in temperament and energy levels, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Our team is highly experienced in managing dogs with various special needs, including those with medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and behavioural issues. We collaborate closely with owners to tailor our services to meet the individual requirements of their dogs, ensuring that all needs are met, whether it involves administering medication or providing gentle care for senior dogs.
For behavioural challenges, our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of animal behaviour. We use evidence-based techniques to address issues such as anxiety, aggression, and excessive energy. Each strategy is tailored to the dog’s specific needs, promoting positive behaviour changes in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our standard dog walking sessions typically last approximately one hour. This duration is carefully chosen to provide optimal exercise and stimulation for most dogs without causing undue fatigue. We are, however, flexible and can adjust the length of walks to better suit the individual needs of each dog, based on their health, age, and stamina.
For dogs that require shorter or longer walks, we offer customised durations. Older dogs, those recovering from surgery, or particularly energetic breeds may require adjustments to their exercise routines, which we are more than willing to accommodate. Our priority is to ensure that each walk meets the specific needs of the dog and the preferences of their owner.
Our professional team at Fetch comprises individuals who are not only passionate about dogs but also possess relevant qualifications. Each member is trained in animal behaviour, pet first aid, and is comprehensively insured. This ensures a high level of expertise and safety in handling your pets.
Our founder, Damien Vincent, brings a wealth of knowledge in animal behaviour to the team, which is reflected in the extensive training provided to our staff. This expertise ensures that every interaction with your dog is conducted with understanding and care, adhering to the highest standards of animal welfare and customer service.
Beyond dog walking, Fetch offers an extensive range of additional services to meet the wider needs of dog owners. These include puppy/dog drop-ins, ideal for providing company and care for dogs during times when owners cannot be at home. We also run socialisation sessions aimed at helping dogs learn to interact safely and enjoyably with others.
Our new puppy consultations offer vital support for new owners, providing advice and practical tips for a good start in life with your puppy.
